Our day was 'Grand'. I can now say that cause were in France! We picked up a nice baguette from a friendly french man and carried it around like proper tourists. Its surprisingly much cheaper to cook then to go out every day. Thats with the 5 euro budget we set ourselves.
It was quite lonely today. There was no one in the kitchen or around here cause its half a hotel. It makes me sad to not have our buddies here but I guess we have to deal with it. We went out cause I was about to lose it not seeing anyone around me. So we asked reception where the beach was.... yes a beach. Be jealous:)
We walked to the beach and just stood there in awe. Blue seas, sun beaming down and coloured houses build on the hills. We had nothing better to do so we walked down the streets by the ocean. Until we went up this big hill and came to a very tall castle like building we could take the stairs up to. Its called la tour bellanada on our little map, but we saw the castle on the hill on the signs there. So were not sure if theyre the same ones. Watched the sun set over nice which was just beautiful.
Ofcourse I am single on this trip in the most romantic countries in the world. Really makes me sad but oh well. I guess I do get to take that special person back and show them everything I found when I was here in 2013. That person will come by, or already has. Either way this will not be my last day in nice.
Its also quite hard to switch from italian to french. The languages are so different from each other. I am glad we had such a great french teacher (ahum zaki) in highschool. We can get around quite well here and understand what people say to us and talk back a little bit. I am guessing that lots of people in paris will speak english and it might be a bit easier. But this is the fun part getting over the hurdle of speaking it and daring to speak it.
I did fail to mention though that devon broke an elevator on our first full day in rome. We wanted to take the tube to the Vatican city and devon was wearing a maxi skirt. Ofcourse just before devon and I caught that it was going to get sucked in the stairs, it did. A very nice english man ripped her out of the stairs. It was a shock for her at the time but its now something we can all laugh at.
Going to sleep now we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow. Je suis fatigue.
Sweet dreams, kisses from France.
Ps: I wont be uploading fotos till I am back in holland because I cant upload anything with the crappy wifi here.
