Just give me a minute to pick up my chin from this cobble stone floor..
This city is be-au-ti-ful.
The train ride from firenze to rome was flawless. Only our extreme hungryness was a downfall, yay for digestive cookies for break fast! Riding through the valleys and mountains with endless amounts of houses and trees just opens your eyes.
When we got to rome we were completely covered in sweat. I know gross but we were not dressed for 26 degree weather! After a long treck to the hostel we finally got here and Devon was here too!(the Canadian girl we met in dublin) the hostel is quite awesome. Its filled with Canadians studying abroad. Which would be a dream come true.
We had asked for a good real italian restaurant and got send 20 minutes away. This really took us an hour to get there. We didnt get lost. Only very distracted by old ruins on the side of the roads. Lit up, showing all of its fine cracks and details in the stones. No words can describe the beauty of this city. Just look at the pictures! Its 1220 anyway and I have a long day tomorrow.
Oh the last picture is where we had an amazing dinner consisting of gnocchi with mussels and pizza. Finished off with some terimisu. Or however you spell that.
Xx kisses from Rome
