9th of November.
We had our whole day planned out the night before. This was with some help from our new friend Adam Nana from Uganda. Hes going to study in Barcelona and knows a lot about the city. We also met a lot of football players from Nigeria who were super nice. They were so nice that they were offering to make our food even though they were just sandwiches.
We had our map marked out and went onto the metro. First we went to Parc Guëll. This was a park designed with mosaics, making beautiful colorful murals, creatures and decorations around the park. We thought this was free but it ended up being €8 each. Which wasnt worth that much I thought. We then took the metro to sagrada familia which was magnificent. But ofcourse it was 11.50 to get in. Which was not in our budger after paying for the metro. We just had to walk around it sadly.
We then got onto the metro again. Well I tried to.. I had to hop the little port because the ticket I bought didnt work. Gotta do what you gotta do to get onto the metro. In search for the big market we go. After lots of walking we found it ans were super dissapointed. We though it was a big market with not only food. Instead it was the exact opposite.
On the metro we go again.. spending another 2 euros. Well go to las Ramblas again with the big market and the beach. We went to the beautiful market again sampling more food and buying some expensive candy. We took our candy and walked down to the port where they were having a regatta. Super fun to watch! Sat in the sun and ate our candy.
Time to head back to the hostel as it was super sketchy to walk home with mikahs camera in the dark.
Dinner. Oh what an expensive ordeal that was. We wanted tapas and had to have them because we're in Spain. Three cheese Risotto, ham and nut crocettes, squid rings, patata brava, and a mexican tuna salad. And ofcourse a big fish bowl of Sangria. Best dinner ever. We felt the sangria and were glad we didnt get the pitcher. It was well worth the money.
Were on the high sleed train called Renfe on our way to Madrid. Its so nice to not have to make a stop over. This thing goes 300 km an hour and cuts our travel time in half.
Xx from somewhere inbetween Barcelona and Madrid
