Just imagine being stuck on a train with;
□A coupé smaller then your bathroom with four people
■No one can speak normal english
□A Stinky foreigner
■Which was trying to get touchy with Mikah
□A conductor who messed up our euro rail ticket
■Having to pay for reservations, bye €36,00 (this could have fed us for three days)
□Even having to make reservations when there's tons of seats open..
■Only biscuits for breakfast
□Scared about pickpocketters.
I can go on and on but really this was the most aweful day I ever had in a train. And I love riding on the train! So first night on a sleeper train.. Brieanna Robotham you were right it's just the most aweful thing ever. Stopping and going, cops constantly wanting to come in to check our stuff. Can we just sleep in peace?!
After only 3 hours of sleep our train came to an end in Zürich Zwitserland. We then had to catch the train to Milan. The city of high fashion and pickpocketters. This was the sketchiest station. There were guys and old ladies greeting you on the way down to the ticket machines. Trying to talk you up. Its very hard to ignore but you have to. Instead we went to go talk to the barely speaking english crew at the information booths. I think they were just hired to rip people off. I mean I payed 36 euros for a reservation that should have been 20 euros. We were warned!
On our way to Milan our backpacks did not fit in the stalls above so they had to take up a seat. Ofcourse the other one beside mikah was filled with a stinky foreigner. She was sick the whole 4 hours there. At the end of that we got stiffed for our reservation. From zurich to milan was a straight train. But when we switched countries we had to switch conducters. From a very nice man to an ignorent bastard. The charge of 36 euros had to be done by visa where the signal for the machine was bad. Sadly this worked before we had to get off the train in 10 minutes or else we could've just been let go. We then arrived at Milan
When we finally found the right platform we had to continue to florence which was on a high speed train. 300km and hour and sometimes higher. So cool! The conductor on that train fixed our rail pass and we were good to go.
When we arrived to florence we could immediately feel the heat. We headed to our nearby hostel and found out that our 4 bed mixed dorm got changed into a double bed room. Nothing to complain here! You shouldve seen the guy with the mustache in tbe mixed dorm. No thank you! The hostel is overall very nice and friendly. Thanks. Amerald fields! We went out exploring and ate some proper italian pizza and walked around the markets that were going on. We then walked back and decided to sleep early.. until we thought about our vino.
We got some vino for €8,50 and some chinese food and went back into our room. Its an early night for us, only having had 3 hours of sleep.
Night night dont let the bed bugs bite xx
